  • Served as a Platoon Leader and Weight Control Officer in a combat stress control unit.
  • During Operation Iraqi Freedom II, provided counseling and therapy for people suffering from psychological trauma.
  • Developed several therapeutic models that include the use of relaxation, visualization, contemplation, meditation and cognitive behavioral training as effective tools for treating stress related disorders.
  • Facilitated critical incident stress debriefings for people directly involved in traumatic events during OIF II.
  • Developed lessons plans and taught classes in the areas of stress and anger management, conflict resolution, suicide/homicide awareness and prevention, drug/alcohol awareness and prevention, tobacco cessation, battle fatigue, cognitive behavioral training, and yoga and qigong meditation during OIF II.
